ASRA and police are investigating this crash this morning. The Pilot was a non ASRA member in an unregistered, uninspected Gyro.Initial reports indicate the pilot was "High speed taxiing" and has tumbled end for end. Very sad as I knew the person but have got the Sh1ts very badly as we see this type of thing over and over, dont need training,my machines ok,dont need anybody (ASRA) telling me what to do.Seen it so many times over the years and get the sh1ts even more as there was a senior instructor and TA 1 hour drive up the road.M Barker

Very sad Murray but it should to be compared with unlicensed and unregistered car or motorcycle drivers that seem to be prone to killing themselves. It cannot be reinforced too much that proper training and airworthy aircraft is essential to help pilots stay safe and having fun for years into the future. I would implore any others reading this who fit into the above catagory who think they can fly our aircraft type without qualified help to change their thinking and become qualified, legal and safe. It is the best investment in safety you can make.PeteBairnsdale,Vic.
