One word sums it up...AccountabilitySome people make bad choices, and unfortunately pay the ultimate price. So now loved ones and family and friends and myself... (someone half way around the world) grieve the loss.May GOD Bless him.For me, I will still pursue the freedom of flight in a GYRO (I have almost 40 hours solo in fixed wing) but it would never enter my mind to do it without instruction. Not in this day and time, with thousands of years experience (combined) at my fingertips, and training usually just a phone call away. Some day i'll get a Gyro.Sad to hear people do the things they do???What were they thinking?John in Okc,OK (USA)

To give a logical explanation to the cause of the cause only one word comes to mind ATTITUDEThink about it before you fire off at me about it. You may find out something you don't like about yourself. I do stupid things too and later say to myself " That was a stupid thing to do you ????????." We are human and that is our weakness. The positive here is to learn from the ultimate price someone has paid for this misadventure. All the best and remember "What you focus on grows."
