Hey Muzza,As discussed I emailed the TT Lines about trailer dispensation and copied as many of the board as I could, some of the email addresses gave me grief. The owner Andrew Roberts of the Clarence Point Lodge is as keen as mustard. Will provide a fuel truck on site if required.

Thanks Mitch, If we can get over the cost of the transport we may be on a winner.I have to go now as I am making a long range fuel tank for Russ out of chewing gum and old cardboard

LOL! Muzza you are a wag. ;DCheers Brian. Got a response from Reservations tonight, saying someone from Management will review the request and be in touch. I hope they agree to our request. Suggesting the Lodge was just an afterthought but really it is a great facility and location. The mountains, rivers and Bass Strait all within a couple of clicks. It could be a great little flying holliday for some of you folk who have always wanted to do just that.

She be right muz................make it out of a brown paper bag..........no probs, coz your ar^se will be sittin beside me.Hang me / shoot me....whatever.............but goin by past history etc etc.......me thinks, the Tazy "Nats" may just be too much for most members to get too. Have for some time now pushed for the "Nats" to be over more days [ just makes sense to me, less need to cram it all together over just 2 and a bit days ]Makeing it a "holiday" over maybe a week, with "classes" etc available, seems more attractive to me. Along with some great flying points of interest to go to, that "locals" [ mitch ] for example, could orgynise for all flyers. Most guys that attend, spend more time on the road, getting there, than actual time at the "Nats"The growing numbers of guys, that are flying their gyros to the "Nats" is great to see, i hope these numbers continue to grow.Over the last couple of years, we have seen the "splintering" of members, as another venue has been offered to go to, at exactly the same time as our "Nats".........this year was a "classic"........2nd location was within spitting distance.............. ??? ???So...................just thought i"de toss this into the arena........what"s your thoughts

Mitch"s idea of the Nats in Tassie has a lot of appeal, but not for me.I have already started planning on a big one in WA 2010. They both are a big haul for us.I would be happy with somethin a little closer. That is a bit selfish of me I know, you blokes in Tassie and the west have this problem each year.Graeme.

The West crew thank you Graham for bringing this up. Now we have the experiance in this area so just ask and we will answer your concerns with sound experianced answers. We are expecting that we will have to organise a couple of Road trains with escorts to transport yaz all over here :. Now over the next year or so we will take all your registrations of intent to attend.

I looked up the cost of going to Tassie via the ferry and its not a cheap exercise. I reckon we all ought to fly across together, safety in numbers someone once said.

If you ferry to Tassy or to the mainland it"s not cheap BUT it"s not really that expensive either.....(make sense)

Ok folks...............to date, there is no gyro group that has put their hand up to hold our "Nats" [ next year ]This matter is now "pressing"...................so we have this option..next yrs "Nats" to be held in conjunction with the easter "Narromine" flyin. This is a big meet of recreational aviators, the usual "comps" we have, will have to be "trimmed" as there will be aircraft buzzin about everywhere.Personally, i think this is not a bad idea..............lots and lots of folks go to this meet.So....................what"s your views.cheers..........russ

NO NATS IN TASSIE.Sorry to hear that Mitch! Wherever that nationals are going to be held, you have to get Birdy there and have him fly his demo. I"m sure that the attendance would go up just knowing that he was going to be there.Thats my thoughts.
