This one comes to you care of Ken Watson´s recent experience in G4096 - my take on it.Articulation of control rods from the joystick to the rotor torque tube.Do not articulate unless you absolutely have to. Use direct connecting rods and make sure they have a column stiffness better than required to control the rotor in all conditions. If you are concerned about them flexing in the middle then place guide rings at mid height to control the flexing and prevent buckling by having an adequately sized section - use 25mm tubing instead of 20mm - your life hangs on it.If you must articulate due to alignment issues then:1.
