John the Technical Advisor details are in the winter edition of the "Gyro News" (p25) which is supplied to all members of ASRA. You must be a member of ASRA to legally fly. You are very lucky because there are 13 listings for TA"s in Qld and 12 for NSW. (1 for WA where I am although that is not correct!)If you still need specifics and you don"t have a copy of the magazine post here and I will get some names and numbers back to you. Regards............Chook.

Just for the record....There is mention of me doing an investigation into a RAF crash, this is correct. It is also correct that a swage failed causing the pilot to loose all rudder control. Unfortunately with a RAF every power input requires a rudder input and on this occasion the gyro yawed almost sideways when the swage pulled out and basically thats how it landed after trimming a few trees. It was later found that swages supposedly the same inside diameter may not be.It was also found that 2mm cable was used instead of 2"5mm as in the two seat standards.A small mistake by a TA ended in a pilot spending 4 days in hospital and could certainly have ended worse than it did.My point is get the RAF you are rebuilding checked and double checked,if you have to travel 1000K"s do it,your life may depend on it.And who was the TA who did the swages on the accident gyro? One guess.
