Nice machine Bill, looks well built. The length of your mast is only reletive to the hight of the machines keel above the ground, and length of keel to tail.As long as the mast has some flex in it and you experience minimal rotor shake, then I wouldn't worry about its length.Having 10* in roll, and 12 * in pitch sounds fine to me.If it was the other way around I would question it in the hands of a newbie.Do you know what your heads offset is ? as this can change a machines stability, making it more nimble in flight.Image Insert: 88.62

Bill, the configeration of your gyro gives the appearance of a shorter mast than it really is and I would not concern myself about the length. It is a relatively lightweight machine and if you are not experiencing rotor shake now I would not be worried about mast stiffness either. A shorter mast has advantages such as getting the rotors on and off easily and ease of starting and stopping them. Looks likes a great machine to me.PeteBairnsdale,Vic.
