dg2829,I"m going and my family (wife and two children). I might have company in ole mate Keith Jamieson. The late Geoff Jamieson"s Dad. He has more gyro history attached to him than most and never been to a Nationals.I must confess I have been trying for a couple of weeks on and off and having a little trouble signing in.So anyway put us down. Thanks David Mitch
Dear David Gaze,What"s up your skirt? So rather than just accept I had problems with your site as has Bones for one you come back with that piece of literary crap. Keep up the warm welcomes and you"ll be responsible for some people going on through to Nat Fly. If you have a problem still with PB agreeing with me at Lameroo, (Guy Wilson was present), then you need to get over it big
David You could have checked my member profile on this forum (or the Rotorcraft forum ) to get my email address. To Hard?My details are also available at www.thebutterflyllc.com....Ph and Email. And in the ASRA registered gyroplanes list...Ph.Just out of interest David, yes I am registered on your site, Yes/No and you get all outta shape over a situation, which is obviously my fault due to my complete lack of computer skills and ability to follow links etc. Please,....
hi what date in 2008 and where are the nationals to be held Gary.It would have been easier to just tell you the 2008 nationals will be held over Easter, Mar 21-24 2008.Graeme.
Hi to all !!!Just a quick update on what the Rotorcraft Association of Victoria is doing leading up to our 2008 ASRA Nationals.Due to Wangarratta being a CTAF, and requiring all gyro pilots to hold an Aerodrome Endorcement, our club has implemented the following initiative. All current RAV members who havent got an aerodrome, and or radio endorcement, have been invited to attend a one day trainning session being held at Ballarat airport by Paul Bruty late September.
G"day Sam,Will the carriage and use of VHF radio be mandatory at Wangaratta?G"Day TimThe answer to your question is NO ! (Because Wangarratta is only a CTAF and radios are not mandatory)But an aerodrome endorcement will be a requirement !!!What most people dont know is that a radio endorcement "is" required to get an aerodrome endorcement.Hope this makes sense.
Guys,I fly in and out of aerodromes (some in military controled airspace) regularly both fixed and rotarywing (includes gyro"s) and have trained a reasonable number of students to the new ASRA aerodrome endorsement level. The following is my understanding regarding Wangaratta;1. Gyro pilots will need to have an ASRA aerodrome endorsement to fly in to Wangaratta.2. To get a ASRA Aerodrome endorsement you need to also hold a ASRA Radio endorsement.3. If you have the ASRA Aerodrome endorsment and the aerodrome you are flying in to doesnt mandate radio i.e. Wangaratta the carriage and use of VHF radio is not required.4. Your gyro also needs to have a rotating/flashing beaconI suggest you get a clarification from the ASRA Ops Manager but the above is my understanding.Adrian.
