Hi.Can anybody tell me what goes on at this comp?Is there somewhere to camp? Can I get a feed there? How much to come and have a look see? Thanks Gavin

Gavin, at the Nationals we have some fairly low key competitions and generally try to enjoy each others company. I am trying to organise a guest speaker for the Saturday night, we had Don McCoy last year at Alice. The organising group has indicated that there will be camping facilities and some form of catering. I have asked them to put more specific information on here. Hope to see you there!John EvansThink logically and do things well, think laterally and do things better.

Not a problem Gavin. One thing i will suggest is if you need any help with navigation don't ask Nick or myself. As you know we headed of on Sat with a few of the gang but unfortunately we got a little geographically embarrased and had to return home without finding our destination. It was a good flight though.Look forward to seeing you again.

MartyI must addmit those of us who were grounded were scratching our heads trying to figure out why you were heading for Mt Gambier instead of Karoonda. If you were quiet about it and didn't addmit to your mistake we figured it was tactics, we thought you were going that way to pick up a tail wind. WRONG LOL

It's just as likely to get ice where you are Russ as down there. It's not the temp that causes ice but the dewpoint or something .I call it humidity.I'v had carb ice at over 30c plenty o times. You will need to be more concerned bout pilot ice I reckon.Ignorance is bliss............but only till you realise you were.

Yea, thanks mate. I've had carb ice up here too, but I was unsure if the f...n cold was an extra hazard to the problem ????? As to pilot ice, yea that will be interesting, I've heard that RUM is the answer.I would also like to fit a set of ski's to the beast.....only jokin. Jeez I hope they have bloody hot showers there, I'm a sook when it get's cold. 30 degrees and above is just luvely, always. Safe flying. A1014RDC
