Yes, its a big days drive from here Phil plus this week has been well and truly taken up with very essential work that has to be done.A couple of inches of rain would change everything. Couldnt even get to Broken Hill on Friday for the mustering seminar thing and thats just up the road.Would like to see something new come out of this drought summit as its way past the joke, especially finacially and the pressure its putting on farmers is incredible. We dont expect a lot but this has been happening since 1990 and its getting to stage where people are going to break. Thanks for letting us know about the summit Phil cause if we could be there, we certainly would. I hope the race course is packed to overflowing !!!BrianYou never know how far you can go, till you get there !

Well, sad day here, shipped our little herd of cattle off to market this morning, just run out of options for agistment. Probably not a big deal to most of you but those cows meant a lot to us, we have battled to keep them alive and keep the base herd and have gotten pretty fond of them as a consequence.BrianYou never know how far you can go, till you get there !

That stinks. But I gess its also life ay.We'v shipped out 36 decks in the last coupla munths, coz its git'n bad ere too.[but wot else should i expect, I am live'n ina desert.]Bloody amaz'n tho, most o them 36 decks was fulla fattys, and we'v only had 3" o rain since 2000.Ignorance is bliss............but only till you realise you were. You can always get the answer you want, if you ask enough experts.

Well bugger me, hes right.[wetter days ahead, no **** sherlock, they can't git any drier.]The best wether forcast I ever heard goes as follows;Over the foreseeable forcast period,we have a 50/50 chance of get'n more or less of our average rain fall. Talk bout not shut'n the door.Ignorance is bliss............but only till you realise you were. You can always get the answer you want, if you ask enough experts.

How are you people who need the rain getting on? Just wondering if you got any out of the lot that was around last week. We are doing ok here in the west, which is about time as the ground water systems need a good topping up but that will take a number of years of heavy rains to make a difference there. I have noticed a rise in the salinity here and it aint just from the farmland clearing in my oppion either. There is a larger draw on the water by the city folks and there in lies part of the problem here any ways.Well hope you people who need the rain got enough to get you over the dry time. All the best Des Garvin.
