It is a very unfortunate accident Daryl, made worse by the ease at which it could have been avoided. The only agenda being pushed is to try to save the life of someone else.Is that such a bad thing?

Who's post are you talking about Dayrl? Mine? Pot shot at another pilot? Who?. I was pointing out that there is a well qaulified person (not me) one hours drive north of the crash sit that has got many pilots safely into the air. This was the second accident in a week with "Pilots" thinking they can just jump in and go,I'll teach myself attitude. I had a new gyro owner tell me years ago that he wasnt getting training and he would "Just get it into the air and sort it out there". Luckily he rolled it into a ball at low speed on the ground.Dickhead.I make no appoligies about my hard approach, these people make the rest of us look bad,and I'm sick of seeing people I know kill themselves.M Barker

What you say is true Murray. The general population will only hear of the gyro death and the usual assumption could be made that gyros are dangerous. So much hard work has been put in by ASRA and other's getting gyros accepted by the general community. Part of the sucess of all the hard work is instantly destroyed when someone steps outside the support structure that dual training and gyro registration provides. So sad at a needless loss of a precious life !!!BrianPooncarie NSW
