Tony, start a new thread and give me your setup (including pics) and if I get time I will look at it for you.I have sorted out most of the Bindoon gyros guys radios now and am starting on some of the fixed wing problems.Chook.Please let me know if you get over this way, I would love to get the radio situation working the way I want.

OK, it"s been 9 months now and I was willing to succumb to defeat on my ej25 fault. Tried to obtain price and avail. of a micro tech EFI system from an Aust. agent. but no e mail replies. Maybe my e mail ad is a give away (gyrospace1@bigpond.com) Anyway I went down the hill in my small village to look at a cheap motor-sailer for sale and it turns out the guy teaches EFI at the local uni. So with his help I"m re-motorvated. There"s going to be a wild party on my veranda if and when we crack it! ;D

I"ve given up on the Moloney system for now, and installed a Microtech system with dash unit so I can set up without a laptop, however I"ve reached a brick wall due to the fact that it sparks 90 deg advance when cranking even though one of the 6 fingers that passes the crank sensor at exactly 30 thou, air gap is at approx 10 deg. advance. The ECU seems to be not recognising it. Kev. is giving me advise but it"s got both of us scratching our heads. Microtech only reply to my E mails about every 2 weeks usually with a question so it"s a long saga. I can understand any-one doing a carb. mod whenever possible. I"m putting this on the forum incase anyone has a bright idea :-

I"ll still bet me left nut, it ain"t the Maloney system, you,ve fitted another perfectly running pewter ....."mine.....still you have same problem.......something is giving pewter a fault.Me.......I"de do a complete rewire, from every censor, and replace those 5.....6 censors, rebuild another speed censor as well.Remember......it was going perfectly before, now runs rough........Begin at the beginning again, no shortcuts. BTW.....seriously check all electrical plugs, for corrosion etc within. That engine sat for 5........6 yrs before you built your gyro.
If you aim for nothing, you'll hit it every time

Anyway, I thank the great spirit that the EA81 Rosco machine is still faithfully firing up every start which maintains my sanity. Took the misses up the beach on Sun. morn. around the lighthouse and back for her birthday and had to fly past a bloke who hates gyro"s. He thinks drugs are safer than gyros. (I think he"s afraid I"ll find his plantation) My message is -- Get high on life -- Yee _ Haarr ;D

Holly crap Browny, That guys smart. He"s not a micro-tech fan, he said micro tech ECU"s were very "simple" (I thought simple was good) but said I either have to send back the ECU for reconfiguration or alter the sensor positions. (I"ll send back the ECU) :-*

It"s over a year now and my EJ25 still doesn"t run. I fitted a micro-tech system and the timing was 90 deg. advanced. I sent the ECU back and quoted the amount of cam and crank fingers. They claimed it was a pre 2000 engine and re-configureated the ECU. (I Know the engine is 2003) The timing is now ok but No injector out-put coming from the ECU. If some-one started selling a magneto and carb kit for an EJ25 I"d be his first costumer!
