Paul is always prepared to stick the boot in, so let him cop it sweet. He's a big boy and can stick up for himself, he doesn't need the brainwashed disciples of Paul( or should I say students) to defend him. I noticed none of you lurkers lept to my defence when he attacked me. "If you lie with dogs you'll get fleas".Ken

---think that paul would do his mods and then go for a test fly if he thought he would CRASH it, NO BLOODY WAY----And THIS IS THE PROBLEM. He doesn't know what he is doing !!!If he THOUGHT it was ok, than this is the key item in the whole story.Never seen or flown LW before and dares to modify it ???It's ok as only he would be flying, but he did it for others !!!

Now My turn,Nik, wot you said is true, test pilots are an endangered spicies, and we , or should I say, newbys , need them/ us so they don't have to do it from an "ignorant" starting. And I also agree wot you say bout the ASRA mob, they have set guidlines to follow and they will no dout tell all, when they know and WHEN THE SMOKES CLEARED.Give the board a break, they'v got work, VOLENTEER WORK, to do.And as I said adnausium on the yank forum, I'm not blame'n Paul for the machine's demise, or supposedly missing sumthn on the check list. For a start, I don't know, I wozn't there and I havn't seen the mess. But the truth bout that will out, one way or the other.Wot I'm very dissapointed bout is the way he shifted all fault to the builder and tell blaitent lyes on a publick forum. That I do KNOW and that I don't like.Ignorance is bliss............but only till you realise you were.Ingratitude stinks.......be generous carefully.

Russ,You test fly? No wonder you're a bundy man..While other people might be going on about the head, I'm just refering to something that Paul has posted, what he points to as being the 'cause', this, in lieu of and or as well as the speculated mods to the head would be a contributor to the board's decision I am sure. If I were in their shoes, and I am putting myself there in posting this in their defence against comments from Camel, I would look at his proceedures and the outcomes of them, in this instance an aircraft damaged and a man near killed - why? What would you look at, they have to and you may well have to yourself, I didn't want to see the board, my representative, being maligned for doing the right thing for the moment, remember their decision is always subject to review, it is always just a matter of time.Like I said, you've got to be a brave pilot to test fly a machine built by a novice builder, but even more brave to post the results here, especially when they can be so damning, but Paul is a big boy, he'll sort it out and be flying again in no time, there are a large number of people who have need of his services. I've learned from it and I appreciate his courage.Nick.

Nic......I would have preferred suspension pending a full enquiry, but I feel a straight out cancelation a bit harsh. BUT then I don't know any facts at this moment. Who would want to be in ASRA's shoes.....damned if you do........damned if you don"t.......RussRDC

That's it......it was a swage.....no it was a rotor head mod, yes I'm confused big time, no more from me I'm waiting for the facts to be presented, then we can go 4 it.....factually based aye[].....RussRDC

Russ,Agree. When you go into it the explanation for an authorities 'heavy handed' approach is usually a damn good one, I think Murray has just let the cat out of the bag.Cheers,Nick.
